To the community members of Chateh, Dene Tha First Nations.
This notice is to inform that work on the community fireguard has been ongoing for the past month, and is coming to it’s final stages starting this week. As such, there will be some important points that need to be disclosed.
- Logging traffic has begun, and we will have to share the roads for a while closer to home. Please drive carefully and be aware that there will be more heavy traffic on the hill until mid-March.
- The final cutblock, Block 3, will pass along the west side of the reserve within a couple hundred meters of houses. Please be safe and let the equipment work unobstructed.
- Keep light vehicle and ATV / snow machine traffic away from the cut blocks. They are not safe to drive on, before or after work.
