The Dene Tha’ First Nation, along with local authorities, is working on an Emergency Preparedness Plan regarding the COVID-19 virus. A presentation was provided by Imtiaz Ahmed yesterday to the Dene Tha’ Chief and Council and we are pleased to be able to share that presentation with you, paper copies will be made available at your local Band Administration Office.
As Dene Tha’ First Nation finalizes their Emergency Preparedness Plan, updates to this and links to other sites such as Alberta Health Services will be provided and available through this website and the Dene Tha’ First Nation facebook page, any information we share will also be available in printed format at your local Band Administration Office.
Dene Tha’ First Nation applied for and successfully received funding through the Lands and Economic Development Service Program (LEDSP). This funding will support the completion of a Strategic Economic Development Plan.
As part of the plan, we are engaging Nation members through interviews, community workshops and this survey. This survey aims to collect input from Nation members on their economic challenges, priorities, opportunities and values. This plan will guide the Nation in sustainable community economic development and will help in future decision making.
