The Dene Tha’ Social Development Program has a full-time position available for an Administrative Assistant who reports to the Director.
Duties Include:
- Providing program support in the delivery of services within the prescribed department
- Performing specific duties identified by the Director in an effective, efficient, and timely manner
- In cooperation with department staff, encouraging teamwork and participating in staff development and training programs
- Maintaining and supporting a positive and proactive Customer Services philosophy
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Director
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Preferably with a Diploma in Office Administration or Business
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Experience and/or knowledge of office filing systems
- Full knowledge of MS programs including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- An understanding of finance
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Being able to speak the Dene language will be considered an asset
The successful candidate must provide a criminal record check, and child welfare clearance check; have a Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
