The DTFN Operations and Maintenance Department (OMD) has a full-time position available for a Custodian based out of the Complex in Meander River.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Sweep and mop floors; vacuum rugs and carpets; dust furniture and woodwork; clean and disinfect washrooms; empty waste baskets
- Maintain rugs and carpets by vacuuming and shampooing
- Maintain floors by stripping, washing, waxing, and polishing
- Wash walls and ceilings, windows, and blinds as per schedule
- Ensure cleaning material and washroom supplies are in stock
- Ensure security of building and contents
- Report minor repairs and maintenance to the O & M manager
Qualifications:
- Previous training and/or experience in this area considered an asset
- Knowledge of materials and supplies used in commercial cleaning
- Ability to operate and maintain janitorial equipment
- Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, moving furniture and equipment
- First Aid and WHMIS Certification
The successful candidate must provide a criminal record check.
