Hiring – Camp Assistant (Tree Planting Camp)
Blue Collar Silviculture Ltd is a reforestation contractor based in Quesnel, BC. Since 1983, we have worked across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, planting over 500 million trees. We have operated in the High Level area since 2018, working with Tolko, private landowners, and TK Array Lands Corporation. We are hiring a Camp and Tree Delivery Assistant for the upcoming planting season. This role supports day-to-day camp operations and field logistics for tree planting operations.
Responsibilities
• Assist with general camp duties and keeping camp clean and organized
• Support camp maintenance and logistics
• Assist with tree deliveries to planting sites
• Help with helicopter tree moves, including sling setup and receiving trees in the field
Requirements
• Valid driver’s licence
• Able to work in a remote bush camp for the full season. Tent accommodations, provide your own
sleeping arrangement. Meals and amenities provided (showers, power, dry tent)
• Comfortable working around and flying in helicopters is an asset
Season Schedule (tentative)
• April 25 – May 2: Quesnel, BC (training)
• May 3 – May 20: Meadow Lake, SK
• May 20 – June 20: High Level, AB
• June 20 – July 15: Whitecourt, AB
• July 16 – July 30: High Level, AB
Transportation is provided from arrival in Quesnel onwards, pickup in Prince George possible
Compensation
Day rate pay, starting at $300 per day, depending on experience
