NOTICE TO DENE THA’ FIRST NATION MEMBERS – APPEAL PROCEDURES
FOR COUNCIL ELECTORAL DISTRICTS
Please be advised that one (1) appeal for each Electoral District of the 2026 Council Election has been received. In accordance with the Dene Tha’ First Nation Election Regulations 1993, every candidate for the particular office at issue in the appeal is entitled to receive a copy of the Notice(s) of appeal documents that are submitted in respect of the election. As such, all appeal documents were forwarded by registered mail to all affected candidates on July 11, 2026 to the addresses that were submitted with their candidate information. If any candidate has not yet received a copy of the appeal documents, please contact myself or the Appeals Committee.
The Appeals Committee will be reviewing the appeals and determining the next steps in respect of the appeals. Should you have any questions or wish to respond to these appeals with evidence or submissions, please provide your response by July 20, 2026. At that point, the Appeal Committee will determine the date and place of the hearing on the appeals.
