Re: Stray Dogs and Public Safety Concern
We would like to inform all community members that the number of stray and roaming dogs within Bushe River, Chateh, and Meander River has significantly increased. This situation has become a serious safety concern.
There has already been an incident in which a community member was attacked. The safety of our members — especially children and Elders — is our top priority.
We are asking all dog owners to:
-
Ensure your dogs are properly tied or securely contained at all times
-
Do not allow dogs to roam freely within the community
-
Regularly check that chains, fences, and enclosures are secure
-
Take responsibility for your pets to prevent further incidents
Loose dogs pose a risk to public safety and may result in injury or further action if the situation does not improve.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping our communities safe.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
